Free ‘Invaders’ screening to reveal TV show’s ties to Temecula

Fans of the late ’60s cult ABC sci-fi television series “The Invaders” can attend a free episode screening to see which Temecula landmarks were featured in the show.

Historian Rick Reiss will discuss the series, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary, at 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, at Vail Headquarters, 32095 Wolf Store Road. Reiss will show an extended 60-minute version of the pilot episode after his presentation.

Starring Roy Thinnes and Kent Smith, “The Invaders” centers on a man who learns of an alien invasion. The series ran for two seasons before ending in March 1968.

The Temecula Valley Historical Society is putting on the event. Residents are urged to bring lawn chairs as the event is outdoors.
