The Fontana Days Parade rolled down Sierra Avenue to Veterans Park Saturday, May 4, drawing cheers from those gathered along the route to watch floats and local marching bands pass.

Spring is here, and the fun in Fontana continues all season long.

This weekend, community groups, neighborhood businesses and city, area and regional representatives were among the parade entrants.

Saturday’s theme, “May the 4th Be with You!” was an ode to the popular unofficial “Star Wars” holiday.

The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation, which, along with the city and the Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation, will build a “Dreamfield” at Jack Bulik Park this summer, was the grand marshal.

Fontana’s celebration of 106 years continues with the family-friendly Fontana Days Festival, which is scheduled from May 30 to June 2 at Veterans Park.
